Sacher Associates provide a set of measures to assess how team members view their work environment or culture as it pertains to:

The quality of work life

Communication


in their team, department or organisation. These measures have been in use in the public and private sector in Australia since 1989.

Surveys can be done for individual teams, the department or for the whole organisation.  

Team members receive a questionnaire, either hardcopy or online, covering team performance and quality of working life in the team and organization. The results are collated and a report produced which indicates how team members assess the issue being measured in their work place. This information is used as a diagnostic tool - to show where team members or which components of the work environment need to improve.

A report is produced which summarises everyone's score, and captures all comments, which are collated under the component headings. It becomes easy to see what issues are problematic both visually in the graph, and from the collated verbal feedback.

 

A quick, easy, cost-effective tool

 

We will manage all administration. All we would need is a list of team members and their email addresses. All each team member would need to do is set aside between 5 minutes and half an hour to complete each survey. Surveys can be sent in hard-copy format if preferred.

Team Environment Measure


The Team Environment Measure measures the basic components of team performance and experience shows that with minimum standards on each component, improved team performance is virtually assured. Thus, the tool shows which components need attention, and in what order. You can then engineer into the environment those components at a required standard, thereby implementing a continuous performance improvement system.

Team Environment Surveys will provide you with:

  • A quick diagnosis of your team's work environment, or culture. These are
    controllable, measurable factors that are under the team's control. Improve them, and you will improve the team's performance.
  • A plan of action outlining what areas to address, in what order, to improve your team's performance.

Quality of work life measure

 

Quality of work life is the quality of all aspects of work life, as perceived by the employees of the organisation. It refers to a wide range of aspects of living and working in the organisation, including personal and psychological satisfaction at work. The Quality of Work Life Measure reflects the morale; commitment and psychological well being of the employee in the organisation, at any given time. Taken collectively, it reflects the quality of work life of the group.

Communication measure

The Communication Measure is usually tailored to meet the client's concept of what communication is in the organisation. Typically, it addresses the communication of performance (performance feedback), both verbal and non-verbal, as well as communication within the team, between teams and between departments. It also addresses the extent to which the vision of the organisation is being communicated throughout the organisation.
